Step 4
Permission to Operate
With your system fully installed and ready to operate, final utility approval can be performed. With a fully operational system, we’ll take care of applying for eligible local, county, state, and/or federal rebates, refunds, and incentives on your behalf.
Why Solar?
After the initial cost of installation, solar power’s low maintenance components will continue to deliver power at a comparably lower cost over time than purchasing from a utility company. In fact, while other home owner’s watch their rates increase, some solar power users may find they can sell excess energy back to the grid.
Over time, the price of energy can fluctuate greatly both from increasing costs passed along from energy companies and monthly usage. Investing in solar power allows your upfront cost to be amortized over time and based on the initial cost. Excess solar can even be stored, allowing one fixed cost to account for various fluctuations in monthly usage.
Alternative forms of electricity, like solar power, that don’t rely on traditional energy infrastructure provide immense freedom. You can provide power to even the most remote areas, ensuring your life and your building projects aren’t tied down to the grid.
Property owners that invest in solar power see on average an increase in their property value of 4-5%.
Your investment in solar energy is an investment in the future of our environment and the enjoyment of our planet to future generations. Solar power is the cleanest form of renewable energy available.

Our panels have an almost zero failure rate; however, we offer a competitive warranty for your peace of mind. Using the Enphase monitoring system, you’ll know if your system isn’t operating to peak performance. Microinverters ensures if one panel quits working, your remaining panels will remain operational until a repair can be made.
Customers that use battery storage components in their system may be able to completely disconnect from the grid if their battery storage is capable of sustaining energy needs for prolonged periods of time; however, nearly all solar power users will remain connected to the grid in order to meet their energy needs during periods where sunlight is unavailable to create power. In most cases, your system will be designed to create over 100% of the power you need during a year so that your excess power contribution back to the grid (via net metering) will offset your costs for the power you pull during those periods.
Each year, you use an amount of electricity on average that accounts for 100% of your annual electricity needs. That usage can, for example, be divided equally between 50% daylight usage and 50% evening usage. Your system will be designed in such a way that it produces 100% of your electricity needs during periods where sunlight is available. The excess amount produced during the day is “sold” back to the utility provider as a credit that offsets your electricity needs during times where solar power is unavailable.
Depending on the customer’s choice of equipment, the system may provide power to the home in the event of utility shutdown, natural disaster, or planned shutdown.
Your warranty and solar power agreements are transferable and the energy savings afforded by a solar power system have caused the values of home’s with solar power installed appreciate by 4-5%.
